The season has shifted and so have I

May. Finally.

The weather has been kind to us this week and honestly its changed everything. The lighter nights, the warmth in the air, that feeling that summer is actually coming this time and not just teasing us.

It makes me happy. Really happy.

And when the sun comes out in the UK, we dress differently. We walk differently. We feel differently.

So here’s what May looks like for me right now.

What I’m Wearing

The wardrobe has shifted. Not dramatically, just a quiet edit towards lighter, softer tones.

Buttery shades. Creams. Khakis. The colours that feel like the season rather than fighting against it.

Beautiful buttery shades and this lager is living rent free in my wardrobe SHOP THE LOOK HERE

I’ve been reaching for these almost on autopilot and it wasn’t until I scroll back through my outfit pics that I noticed. Everything I’ve been wearing lately sits in the same warm, quiet palette. And it just feels right.

The shape I keep coming back to is the barrel leg. I’ve loved them for a while (these are the Uniqlo barrels in longer length that I LOVE! Although i’m not sure they do this colour anymore!) but this week I also tried balloon trousers for the first time and I’m completely converted.

My first time wearing Balloon trousers and i’m a convert! These JAKI super soft cream ones are soooo easy to wear!

They’re so much easier to wear than they look; relaxed, a little unexpected, and somehow they make everything above the waist look more considered.

If you haven’t tried them yet, its a must!
