Hi Guys,

It’s been a bit of a whirlwind week, Paris and London in the space of three days!

Paris was honestly incredible. I hadn’t been since my uni days, so it felt like such a treat to be back. We were lucky enough to have the most beautiful early spring weather, the kind where you start the day layered up and end up peeling everything off because you’re suddenly too hot!! Pure joy after months of a dreary UK winter.

Then it was straight back home and a quick trip to London for the launch of the new Uniqlo x Smart Works collaboration. What an inspiring morning. If you’re not familiar with Smart Works, it’s an incredible charity that supports unemployed women with coaching and workwear so they can feel confident going into job interviews and returning to the workplace. The impact they’ve had is genuinely amazing, and it was such a special thing to see a brand like Uniqlo partnering with them.

All in all… a very full few days, but the kind that leave you feeling very inspired:)

I hope you enjoy it’s weeks post x

Let’s talk layers…

There’s a very specific moment every year when getting dressed becomes slightly confusing. It’s technically nearly spring. The light has changed. The birds are up before the alarm. But the temperature still has other ideas.

Which means layering becomes essential!

But here’s the thing, spring layering can very quickly drift into bulky, practical and slightly dull. A cardigan thrown on here, a random jacket there. Functional, yes. Cool… not always.

So this is how I’m approaching layers this spring so outfits still feel modern, intentional and easy.

1. Let one layer do the talking

The hint of check doing the talking, a softly draped grey knit adding texture and this gorgeous blue cinched jacket creating a fab silhouette

Instead of lots of layers competing with each other, I’m leaning into one interesting piece and keeping everything else simple.

Think:

– A trench with a beautiful collar

– A softly draped knit

– A slightly sculptural jacket

When the layer itself has shape or detail, the rest of the outfit can stay really straightforward. Straight jeans, simple trousers, a classic shirt. It instantly feels more considered.
